Blonde shellac

Dewaxed Blonde Shellac flakes are slightly darker than the Dewaxed Super Blonde Shellac.

They retain the clarity of light coloured woods and is also used on lightly coloured woods such as white oak, cherry, hickory, maple, beech and some exotic woods. They give a high gloss finish resistant to UV light which doesn’t darken over time. Dewaxed Blonde Shellac flakes provides very little colour and is often applied over darker shellac coats to prevent a finish from being too dark.

Our Shellac is stored in temperature controlled and dust free cool-rooms to maintain freshness, quality and shelf life.

We stock the Shines Shellac Hardener to make shellac finish heat, moisture and alcohol resistant. This is the most popular and possibly the only shellac hardener used by renowned luthiers.

Uses: Traditional French Polish.

Colour: Light (maximum of 12 on the Gardner scale)
