Gilly’s Beeswax Filler Sticks

Description

Our pure beeswax sticks are perfect for filling in cracks and small holes in most wooden surfaces over 1mm deep. Available in various colours, including black, dark brown, mid brown, orange, red brown or pale brown, these sticks can be blended for a custom colour. Use them on raw timber before applying any other finish.

Application

To apply, ensure the surface is clean and dry before application. Melt the stick with a candle or lighter and drip it into the gap or soften it in a microwave and push it into the gap. Scrape off any excess wax immediately before it hardens.

The beeswax filler sticks can be sanded and buffed to a fine finish and coated with most materials. However, they should be used before any application of oil, wax, or lacquer finish.

The dry time for these sticks is 10-30 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature. Be sure to exercise caution when melting the wax as it is moderately flammable in its melted state. No maintenance is required once applied.

Clean Up with citrus solvent or mineral turpentine.
