Description

Cabinet Maker’s Wax is a protective wax that’s ideal for timber, especially for filling tiny holes and hairline cracks. It works best on woods like oak and jarrah that don’t have a specific finish. When used with Restoring Polish, it creates a natural finish. Apply with OOOO steel wool to drive the wax into gaps. This wax is useful for timber surfaces.

Application

Prepare raw timber using Orange Oil, Liquid Beeswax, or Restoring and New Timber Polish.

Dip 0000 steel wool into tin and remove a small amount of wax. Rub into the timber with pressure in line with the grain. Buff back with a soft, lint-free cloth or buffing pads. You can apply it without steel wool. Use up to three coats, buffing well between coats. Allow up to four hours between coats. For best results, let it dry overnight.

Depending on wear, reapply the wax if the surface becomes dull or dry. These natural wax finishes breathe, so use coasters and mats where applicable.

Clean Up with warm, soapy water for hands or cloth. Dampen a cloth with d-Limonene or mineral turpentine to remove excess wax on timber
